The castle, erected in the 19th century, is flanked with four towers, and has about 10 rooms (1000 m2 living space.), two main halls, afully equipped kitchen and a garden composed of age-old trees, just like in a fairy tale. This residence was originally a fortified building, aimed at watching, controlling and sometimes preventing the lake traffic like, similar to among others, Yvoire castle or Chillon castle in Switzerland.
The history remains with the donjon of the fortified castle adjoining the house, left unexplored, the chapel, going back to the 16th century at least, the family cryptand the old chapel adjoining the much more recent church. One of the first documented historical events goes back to 1227 when Beatrice de Savoie sold the castle to Count Philippe de Savoie.
The property also has five further outbuildings available, such as a caretaker’s lodge, a staff residence, a significant barn with cowshed, offering a surface area of about 2.000 m2 , a forge.
